Mist

Well first of all let me say it took a miracle to keep enough space between my camera and this handsome guy's face to even get a few photos! He absolutely loves attention. To the point of using it as a ploy to evade us humans from putting him back into his kennel! Let this be your warning, those big soft brown eyes are hard to say no to! He is an intelligent dog. He was unfortunately surrendered because he likes his meals prepared fresh. A little too fresh for his previous neighbor's liking..apparently they hadn't planned on the chicken and bunny making their way onto his menu selection. He also door bolts, which was the other reason for his surrender. We are working on that at the shelter with the help of staff and volunteers, much to his dismay. He walks well on leash...and while we are on that topic, given his prey drive he should always be on leash if outside. Old habits die hard when they are instinctive! Those two issues aside, he really does have a wonderful personality. He's got a quirky coat that is a unique blend of both breeds. Thankfully it has remained tangle free..knock on wood! He will need general gooming. He loves to bury his bones, even in the snow. Mist weighs in at a long and lean 70 Lbs or so. So at the end of the day if you are active, patient when it comes to positive reinforcement training, and have a home that is free of the small and furry/feathered variety, come on down and meet Mist. He's waiting!
