Yes, I was named Mississippi because I was found stuck on a landing on the Mississippi River and my rescuer had to even tie himself off to reach where I was so he would then be able to pull us both back up. Boy, I don’t remember how I ended up in that area, all I know is that I sure am glad he came along. I am a male Shih-Tzu born approximately 4/08. I have been neutered, and up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Personally I think the mosquitoes couldn’t get through my matted hair to infect me which actually was a good thing. Although when I arrived at CAAWS, I had to be shaved down because I was so badly matted. I am good with other dogs, but am nervous around small children.
