My Story

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS AND APPLICATION ARE AVAILABLE AT WWW.SOHODOGRESCUE.ORG. OUR ADOPTION FEE IS $300. Misha is a shy, sweet, purebred Border Collie who is available for adoption. She is about 2 years old, she is 5 pounds underweight at 30 pounds, and she has that classic black and white Border Collie coat with a long, white-tipped tail. Misha is housebroken, she loves her crate, and she is just starting to learn her basic obedience commands. She is a bit nervous when walking on leash, but once the walking starts she settles nicely and seems to enjoy all the new smells along the way. Misha is also a good passenger in the car! Misha loves people, although she is quite shy when she meets a new person. You can tell that she REALLY wants to make friends though, and she approaches new people in a submissive, tail-wagging way. And once she is comfortable, Misha is a medium-to-high Velcro girl who is all about belly rubs, pets, cuddles and climbing into your lap! Misha also loves other dogs, especially playful and easy-going dogs like her. She is a medium energy girl who loves to play chase and wrestle with her dog pals, explore her yard, play a bit with toys (she is just learning how fun toys can be!) and get as many pets and belly rubs as possible. Misha is not a huge fan of cats but she is learning that they are nothing to be worried about. The ideal family for Misha is loving and easy-going, with room in their lives for a little sweetie. It is also important that her new family has the patience to be there for this little girl while she blossoms into the happy, confident young dog we all know she will be. A fenced yard is required, another easy-going, playful young dog in the home would be perfect, and because young children make her nervous any children in the home should be at least 10 years old. Misha is a wonderful young dog who is absolutely ready to move on to her forever home, and if you would like to review our adoption process and complete an application please visit our website, www.sohodogrescue.org. Misha is fostered in Graham, NC.
