My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. // Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxHi. My name is Misha. I am new to Minnesota and very excited to have a family of my own. My foster mom and dad love me a whole big bunch and I've heard them talking about keeping me. I'm really nice to the two dogs that already live here but I suspect my foster mom is a little wimpy and can't handle three dogs. A little about myself. My foster mom says I have a split personality. I'm like a golden retriever trapped inside the body of a Malinois. My favorite thing to do is sit on my mom or dad's lap on the couch when they sit down. I have very good manners, although I am working on keeping my face off the counter. I'm excited to meet new people and I think it's fun to play with other dogs. You should see me walk on a leash, I really do a great job. Oh, and every time my foster mom calls my name, I come running as fast as I can. I do all of my personal business outside, I do not beg for food and when my mommy leaves, she doesn't make me go in a box. Sometimes, however, the Malinois comes out. Squirrels are so much fun and are clearly a threat to the entire yard. I take safety very seriously. I match the energy of other dogs when I play. If an older dog wants to play, I will lay on the ground so I can play too. If a younger dog wants to turn up the crazy, I will too. Sometimes my mom has to help me stop. I would really like a family that is familiar with shepherds. I like to have exercise, a job and someone who will require me to be a good girl, but then also treat me like a baby sometimes. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. or *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
