Minerva: Female, 7.5 years old, Dachshund mix, 46 lbs.
Minerva was surrendered due to the death of her owner. Her previous owner's family says she is sweet but very shy, taking time to warm up to new people. Once she knows you, we're told she likes to sit in your lap! They added that she is not fully housebroken and had been using pee pads sometimes. She does well with other calm dogs, cats, and kids middle school age and up.
Minerva is very overweight at 46 lbs - her ideal weight probably being closer to 30 lbs. Sheis on a weight loss plan with us which should be continued by her new family to help her live her healthiest, happy life!
