**Adoption Pending** Minaret was only about 10 weeks old and 9 pounds when she was turned into a local shelter unable to stand. The diagnosis from our vet was nerve damage due to some kind of trauma to her left front leg. Poor Minaret was in terrible pain and suffering from very poor nutrition. We immediately put her on a raw diet and pain medication and she rapidly improved to the point where she has no pain and she can put some weight on the leg. However, her gait will never be normal: she walks with a large limp. She also appears to have some kind of neurological incapacity in general, although it is slight and does not affect her quality: she spins more than most puppies and her motor skills are not what they should be at her age. Regardless, she is active and happy and very affectionate with people and with dogs. She will be available after she is spayed, sometime in September or October 2009.
