My Story

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Milo, 3 years old, neutered male, Pitbull Terrier mix, 53 pounds. He is in a foster home SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and is able to transport out of State once an adopter is approved. Milo was abandoned at a dog park in 105 degree heat. Animal control was called and he was picked up and taken to the county shelter. He was later placed on the euthanasia list and we scooped him up! We find it really hard to not love this guy!! Milo is a bundle of energy and joy! He loves playing with other dogs and goes full speed during playtime. His playful nature is best suited for a home with an active lifestyle. While he gets along well with dogs of all sizes, he's still learning when to stop if the other dog isn’t interested in playing. Milo is friendly and loving towards people, including kids aged 5-7, though supervision is recommended due to his energetic personality. Milo shares a home with two other dogs (male and female). He will be best suited in a home with another dog who wants to engage in play. He has met other dogs outside of the home and has been very friendly. Milo is good on a leash, though he may pull slightly when he sees other dogs. However, he quickly refocuses with treats and walks nicely by your side. He is fully housebroken. He knows the “crate” command and goes straight to it. He does well in the crate for 3-4 hours but make sure both latches are securely closed, as he’s a clever escape artist. He has a silly and mischievous personality. He will try to steal food/bones from the other dogs so feeding separately is advised. It is hard to find him not smiling for pictures. Milo loves running, playing fetch, LOVES water activities, toys and bones. After a day of play, he loves to cuddle and would love to sit in your lap if you would let him. He rides great in the car. He has done wonderful riding around on a boat too. He is very intelligent and easy to train. He loves to meet new people. He can b clumsy at times, tripping over his own feet. We think this only adds to his charm. We have no history with cats, but think he would want to chase them. Milo is looking for an active home. He needs physical outlets throughout the day. He would do well with another dog or would do fine as the only dog. He is looking for a home who will continue to provide structure and basic training. Milo is an affectionate, energetic, and playful dog who will bring joy and laughter to a loving home that can match his spirited nature! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him?
