My Story

Millie is the most loving, affectionate, grateful to be rescued dog up at Boxer Rescue. Not only has she endured the unthinkable pain of having her ears completely cut off, she barely survived being euthanized in an LA Shelter when Boxer Rescue saw her sweet disposition just could not leave her behind to die. Despite Millie's sad beginnings, you couldn't find a dog more trusting of humans. Millie LOVES her walks and actually does great out on pack walks and socializing with other dogs. However, she's so desperate to connect with a human of her own, that we feel she needs to be the only dog in the home. Millie is 3 years old and we are scared to death that she'll spend her entire life living in a kennel simply because the clients coming to adopt a dog from Boxer Rescue are looking for just that; a Boxer. Poor Millie watches each and every week as adopters come in and pick out their new family member; and she waits, looking through the fence, bright eyed and so hopeful that it will finally be her turn. But just as every weekend before, the adopters leave with their purebred Boxers and Millie puts her head down and curls up in her bed; all because she isn't the right breed. Please give this wonderful, sweet, loving girl the home she deserves and save her from a very long, lonesome life in a kennel. She will pay you back tenfold with her love, her loyalty, and her endless gratitude. For more information on Millie, please contact Sarah Ciscel at [email protected]
