My Story

Hi there! My name is Millie. I’m a 7 month old female Golden Retriever/Collie mix. My foster mom and dad don’t really know a lot about me, but I am a southern bell from Tennessee. I’m a very sweet/affectionate girl who loves to snuggle. I am working very hard at my foster home. I was really nervous when I first got here, but I have gained a lot of confidence in the last few weeks. My foster mom says my personality is really coming out - silly, loving, and playful. I’m a good walker on a leash, but could use some more practice as I tend to zigzag around. I am really good at being in my crate. I can go all night with no accidents. I LOVE playing all day with my foster brother Chief and just running in the back yard. I would love to have another dog sibling but could adjust to being a single dog if given the love and attention I need. My ideal family would continue my training since I am still young and very willing to learn. My foster mom says I’m a going to be a really smart girl. I will love playing with you and then snuggling in on the couch for a nap or to watch a good show! I currently weigh about 50lbs so I will be a big girl - I need my forever family to be able to handle a big dog. My foster parents are still working on exposing me to as many different situations as they can to set me up for my forever family. So far I have been good around cats and have even attended summer concert. My foster parents want my possible family to know that I am very nervous around new people and new situations. I take awhile to warm up to new things (especially men) so I will need to have several meet and greets until I know I can trust you.
