My Story

Milkshake / M / 2Y / 18lbs / Miniature Schnauzer mix / Fostered in Toronto Meet Milkshake, a charming and affectionate pup who is looking for his forever home! This delightful boy has a few favourite pastimes that make his tail wag with joy. He loves neck scratches, gazing out the window, chasing balls, and playing with his squeaky toys. Most of all, he enjoys being close to his people and is highly food motivated, which makes training a fun activity for him. He knows that he is very handsome and loves to admire himself in the mirror any chance he gets! He’s great in the car and enjoys baths, making him an all-around wonderful companion. He is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night in his crate. During the day, he might whine for a few minutes before settling down, especially if you're moving around and he can't join in. He’s potty trained and waits patiently at the back door to be let out. On walks, he tends to pull on the leash, but he's getting better with practice. He's not reactive but is very social and wants to greet every dog he passes, whining if he can’t. He’s starting to learn his name and commands like "down" and "no." While he’s never really been alone, he does show mild separation anxiety by crying a bit when left in his crate or dog-proof room, but he settles down quickly. He is playful, energetic, and loves to cuddle after playtime. He’s very curious and sometimes a bit clingy, often following people around the house. With a moderate energy level, he enjoys two walks a day (at least 30 minutes each) and lots of backyard playtime, especially chasing a ball. Meeting new people is always a joy for Milkshake. He is friendly and gentle, although he might jump up to say hello. Despite this, everyone who meets him comments on his gentle nature. He is good with dogs, and is interested in cats but shows no prey drive, mainly being curious. He is good with respectful children. His ideal family is someone who is home often. He would love to have another dog in the home to play with. If you are interested in adopting Milkshake, please complete an adoption application on our website.
