Mike is a very timid boy who will need lots of time and patience to warm up in his forever home. He would do best with an adopter who is experienced in dealing with fearful dogs. With the right person, Mike could be an excellent lifelong companion! Since being in his foster home, he has made great progress. Mike loves to go on walks with his foster brothers and he does very well on leash. He is potty trained and knows how to use a dog door. He is very quiet and usually only barks at mealtime because of excitement. Mike is very food motivated, which is a good tool to use when training and teaching him to trust. He loves to be outside, lounging in the sun or shade. Mike still needs to learn to fully trust humans and to receive affection. He came in as a stray, so he has had to relearn how to be a family pet. In his forever home, Mike would benefit from a calm and confident human and canine companion to help him feel secure while boosting HIS confidence. He thrives with a daily routine, and he needs to be gradually pushed out of his comfort zone to develop his socialization.
