Mikah --needs forever home

The rescue met the dog yesterday - 7-22-24 -- he absolutely a gem He is very treat motivated as the owners were mentioning, he does know his commands such as sit , he does know how shake on both paws-- The rescue person who evaluated him was able touch his face without any issues at all. He very sweet boy who needs a forever home once in for all. He is a Mastiff mix breed - does need a strong handler because he does have pray drive of rabbits. Someone need to be patient with him adjusting to new environment - Mikah is dog and cat friendly. He is great with kids and babies He does very well on the leash however, if there was bunnies or birds whole another story he would pull but with minor training he would be absolutely fine dog. If he saw another dog walking around -- wouldn't phase him at all from owner was mentioning. May even try to chase a squirrel out of curiosity not try to kill them Is potty/crate/house trained. I’ve yet to get him weighed, I would say 98lbs. When we were feeding him TOTW he was 110? We believe he is 3 years old. The shelter he came from tried to tell us he was four when he may have only been two years old. He is neutered. Working on getting his updated rabies shot. Currently located in Tustin. We have had him a year, we got him from the local shelter in Cleveland. We are deciding to rehome him because we had to move to California and downsize. He’s a big boy, that needs space. He’s stuck in our bedroom all day and deserves a better home situation. He’s never bitten anyone that we know of, the shelter never mentioned anything either. He is never alone and we don’t believe he has separation anxiety.
