What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home! I am playful and cute! A Volunteer Wrote: Midnight is the most delightful, easy, loving companion, and all of us who have taken her on long walks have been stunned to return her to her kennel and be reminded of her age when we look at her kennel card. She's got so much pep in her step, although she never oversteps, walking sweetly on a leash, hopping up on a bench to give snuggles, and showing no reaction to either a hissing feral cat or passing barking dogs. The volunteers are besotted with her, all agreeing she's a gem in every way, and one we wish we could offer the comfort of a home to, immediately-it's too sad to see her living in a pop-up crate in the hallway in the over-crowded shelter. Since we cannot, may we ask you to consider it? We promise when you meet her, you will need no convincing, so quickly will you fall in love. My fosters write: Meet Midnight, a sweet and patient cuddle enthusiast who loves being around people. This well-behaved, low-maintenance girl is incredibly loyal, rarely barks, and enjoys following you around or laying by your side. Midnight will bring immense joy and love to any household with her gentle and loving nature! Midnight is a 12 year old dog that thinks she's 1 year old! Absolute cuddle bug! AND great watch dog! She alerts you whenever someone comes near your house but once you tell her to be quiet she stops barking. There's no training necessary with Midnight! Anyone would be so lucky to have her! shes the absolute best!!! Midnight is a praise-motivated low-maintenance independent girl! She stares deep into your eyes and gives lots of kisses, naps for most of the day. Occasionally she'll pops up to get some belly rubs or head pats then goes back to her bed. She LOVE-loves walks (got a lil pep to her step) and is non-reactive to people and other dogs (except when they start barking at her, a simple tug and a verbal "stop" will work!). She plays by herself with her favorite toy but likes it when you're nearby to watch her lol. She's not scared of loud noises, thunderstorms, fireworks, or baths and does well by herself at home - no destructive behaviors. Overall, such an easy chill pup to live with and an absolute joy.
