Mico

Mico is a 2 year old Basenji terrier mix who is looking for a loving forever home. He is a curious, adventurous little guy with a lot of character who really likes to be with people. He seems to prefer women to men, but gets along fine with everybody. He is currently in foster care with a family that has three other dogs, both large and small, and he enjoys playing and socializing with them. His foster family also has cats and he will chase them if they run but will leave them alone if they are calm. Mico's foster family is working on perfecting house training with him. He does not seem to understand the dog-door yet, but he is doing better every day. Mico is crate-trained and is comfortable being crated while his foster family is away during the day. He is very clever and attentive and already knows several commands (Sit, Shake, Down, Beg). He is very graceful and would probably excel in agility training and competition. Mico would do best in a home with no small children, as loud noises and quick movements make him nervous. Older children or adults would be fine for this feisty little guy.
