MICKEY

My name is Mickey, and I am not a mouse! I am one of the most handsome and sweet boxer boys you will ever meet! I am a solid 65 pounds of Boxer love.  While I like to have fun, I sometimes have a mind of my own.  So, I will require a very strong pack leader.

Prior to coming to Houston Boxer Rescue, my prior owner was a little bit too busy between school, work, and life, he knew he no longer had enough free time left to spend with me. Parting was difficult even though finding a family with room in their hearts and time for me, is the best thing.

My prior owner left me alone for hours and days at a time.  Being left alone for very long hours was pretty scary. So I started trying to find ways to escape and find people to spend time with...because I like to be with the pack.  I will need supervision at first until I realize if you have to leave, you won't be gone forever, because I can jump very high or climb a fence. I am crate trained and I am potty trained. I have been through basic obedience training and I know how to sit, down, and stay. I will require a very strong pack leader and someone who is committed to using my training commands.
