Michelle is a sweet gentle senior (estimated at 12 years old) who is looking for a new family to call her own, after her previous family dumped her at a high kill shelter downstate. They found her to be a bad influence on the younger dogs of the household because they claim she was leading them too close to the local highway.
We suspect Michelle was trying to escape from a family who no longer wanted her…and she did not want to be an outside dog any longer.
Michelle has adapted beautifully to life as an indoor dog, and is loving every day of it! She has claimed a large dog bed in the bedroom as her personal napping spot and can be found there most afternoons.
She loves treats and looks forward to her to meal times, expressing her enthusiasm with a funny little half howl. Although possibly part Hound, Michelle never barks other than for her half-howl!
She enjoys spending time with other dogs in her foster home, and is also good with kids and cats.
Michelle is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, is spayed and microchipped. She is housebroken as well.
