My Story

Breed: Beagle-Boxer Mix ?Age: 2 years old ?Size: Medium? Personality: Playful, Energetic, Loyal, Affectionate   Are you looking for a dog that's as unique as they are loving? Meet Micah, a 2-year-old Beagle-Boxer mix who embodies the spirit of a Boxer inside a Beagle's body.  With his boundless energy, he’ll keep you on your toes and bring endless joy to your life. Whether it’s playing in the yard, going for long walks, or just enjoying a good game of fetch, Micah is your go-to guy. This playful and devoted pup is ready to find his forever home!   Why You’ll Love Micah: Playful and Energetic:  Micah’s upbeat nature makes him an ideal companion for active individuals. He thrives on regular exercise and is always up for a game or adventure.  Micah will do best in a home with a fenced  yard that he can explore.   Loyal and Loving: Micah forms deep, strong bonds with his human companions and is always ready to shower them with affection. His loyalty knows no bounds, making him a truly devoted family member.   Charming and Full of Character: Micah's charm and unique character will never cease to put a smile on your face. His clown-like antics, such as performing zoomies around the yard or suddenly stopping to dole out sloppy, wet kisses, are sure to entertain you.   Friendly with Other Dogs: Micah’s ability to make four-legged friends is one of his greatest strengths. He’ll thrive in a home with a female dog companion or as an only pet.   House Trained: Micah is house trained and ready to settle into your home without any fuss, bringing both cuteness and good behavior in one lovable package.     Micah’s Ideal Home Micah would do well in a household with active, smaller, adult household who can provide regular exercise and playtime. Micah prefers fewer, deeper human connections and may be wary of strangers, but after several visits, he warms up and loves deeply. His sensitive nature means he thrives in an environment filled with love and encouragement.    If you’re ready to welcome a playful, energetic, and loyal companion into your life, Micah is waiting to meet you.    Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email [email protected] for next steps! *** • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
