Mia

The foster of this beautiful and sweet girl truly believes Mia’s person is still out there and has yet to find her. She is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and an amazing dog! And she has completed a two-week board and training program where her adopter would be eligible for a free refresher training session once adopted. The trainer has described her as a very sweet girl who is very eager to please but needs structures, rules and boundaries to be successful. She really enjoys being with humans and would do great in a home as an only dog or having a dog sibling. She is good with kids and adults. And it is believed she can be respectful towards cats with training and a dog savvy cat. She knows all of her basic commands now like come, sit, down, off, free and stay, and the foster mom continues to reinforce her training. Mia is a really smart dog even if she does occasionally chase her tail like a goofball. She is so very cuddly, intelligent, athletic, and engaged. Mia will need secure fencing as she is very curious about what is happening outside her perimeter and can find creative ways to achieve freedom. She is house-trained, crate trained and gets along with the other dogs in the foster's pack. She is a sweet lovable girl who needs an owner that will take charge and continue with her training.
