I have had a "ruff" life but am on my way to a better one. My name is Mia, that's short for Miami. Miss Lori and Miss Dee rescued me from a shelter in Georgia for Dal Rescue. I am staying with a nice family for now so I can get treated for heartworms. Hector and America's mommy came to visit me this weekend and gave me lots of love, kisses and encouragement to hang in there and get better. When I am finished with my treatment, I will need to hitch a ride to Florida to Dal Rescue. Until then, I am dreaming of a nice, loving forever family who will accept me for who I am. I know that with some bubbles and perfume and pretty collar, I will look like a million bucks! Before long, my memories of the past will fade and I will be loved by a family who will treat me like a princess. I sure hope my dreams become a reality.
