Hello there, dog lovers! I'm Merle, a charming senior male, Chihuahua mix, aged 13 years and weighing a petite 10 pounds.
As a work in progress with house training as a result I need to wear belly bands. I will need someone who is home more than not. I'm eager to learn and grow with the patient guidance of a loving family. I find solace in my kennel, where I feel calm and comfortable. I haven't explored a leash yet, but I'm sure I'd adapt since I'm not a flight risk. I get along with other dogs my size, but haven't had a chance to mingle with cats. I'm sure to thrive in a children-free home, where I can enjoy the peace and tranquility of a quiet environment. Whether it's a cozy house or an apartment, I'm flexible and adaptable to any living situation. While I'd be perfectly content as an only dog, I'd also do well with another furry friend to share in the love and companionship. Despite my sight impairment, I'm still full of love and affection, ready to bond with my favorite humans!
My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*
