My Story

This wonderful dog is begging for help! He was a stray, running at large, lost or abandoned by his owners. He was attacked by 3 dogs and has severe injuries to his back leg and upper hip. He needs a warm and dry place to stay while his injuries heal. He also needs someone to change his bandages on a regular basis and give him his medication. He is at the vet right now, but time and money is running out and we DO NOT want to euthanize him. He is young, very loving, heartworm negative and needs a second chance. We are hoping his back leg will not need to be amputated. If you can help, please call the Shelbyville Police Dept (217) 774-2141 8am to 4pm or email [email protected]. Thank you! He is black with a long coat, white on chest, belly and shoulder. He is very lovable and so grateful. He is about 1 yr old, weighs about 30 lbs and won't get any bigger. In case you would like to adopt him in the condition he is in.
