Melissa

Melissa is a beautiful Lab puppy, about 6 months old and 22 lbs. It appears that she will not grow to be as large as labs normally are. She has a sweet disposition and is great with adults, children and the foster home's male dog. She is also housebroken and seems fine in a pen or crate situation. She does like to run and play & would do well with an active family who is willing to take her on walks and outside to play. She is still a pup and will need some training .. and lots of chew toys. Most of all, she needs some love and attention. She likes to sit on your lap and enjoys having her neck scratched and lots of petting. She'll make a sweet dog for any family who adopts her! She seems to be housebroken. Her foster mom says that whoever adopts this sweet girl is going to be very lucky - and happy.

Our organization is run by volunteers who try our best to save as many homeless pets as possible. Since there are only a few of us, please understand that we are unable to answer phone calls about our animals. The first step is to fill out an adoption application which you can find on our website: www.ny-petrescue.org and we will contact you as soon as we can, usually within 5 days. We also don't have a shelter where you can come and meet the dogs. All showings are by appointment after your application has been approved.
