MAYA

Maya is a gorgeous Husky who was surrendered to us when she was pregnant. Maya was a wonderful mom to all her puppies, but they are now weaned and she is now spayed. It's finally Maya's turn for a stable and loving home.

Maya is housetrained and crate trained and did really well with all the adults and other dogs and cats at her foster home while weaning her puppies. After moving from her puppies she has demonstrated protectiveness of her food from other dogs, but with separate food and water dishes, there have been no problems.

After being adopted for a year, she was returned to HART. We don't know the exact circumstances, but were told she was showed aggressiveness toward a male household member. In her new foster home, she LOVES her foster dad- she follows him around the house and lays at his feet during the day when he is working. She has shown no aggression toward humans (male, female, or kids) in her new home. She may need time to warm up to new dogs, but adjusts just fine given enough time.

We think she would be happiest in a home without young kids and with an experienced and well balanced human 'Pack Leader.' She is 2 1/2 years old, about 45 pounds. She is super sweet and always wants to be around her human friends. Could you be her forever home?

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.
