Maya

Hi, I'm Maya. I'm probably a little over a year old as I'm very playful and have beautiful teeth (or so I'm told). I was out on my own for a while as I was skinny and very pregnant when animal control picked me up. I was supposed to come to my foster home before giving birth, but the puppies had other ideas. But, my foster mama picked me up the next day, and I love where I am - there are other dogs here that I now share the house with. They're not as fun to play with as my puppies (they're all kinda old, so they just tolerate me, but I'm very respectful and have taught my puppies to be respectful too!) I love to run around the farm and help folks do their chores. I also love being in the house - they've got a doggie door which I learned how to use in just a couple days. I know how to use stairs, sit, sometimes stay, and know what off means. I need a few more manners the foster mom says. I still have puppy instincts like picking up socks for toys, and I did once, only once steal something from the counter. I also take my puppies toys when they're not looking, but I share well. I am eager to please and try to learn quick. The foster mom is going to get new pictures of me on petfinder very soon, but the only difference is I'm really happy now and put on a couple pounds after being a stray and on my own. (she says she's a luddite what ever that is, and she struggle getting the phone pictures to the computer).
