MAXWELL

Maxwell is a cute little dog who needs a patient, experienced adopter. He is nervous around new people, but once he warms up, he will love following you around and sitting on your lap. Although he needs time to build trust, with the right adopter and some patience, he will be an amazing companion. Foster note: "Around 10 pounds, this little guy just wants to be around his people. Maxwell would be perfect for someone looking for a little shadow. He LOVES his walks and playing fetch with his stuffed toy. When in a sleepy mood, he will roll over for a belly rub. He is already potty-trained and knows basic commands like 'sit.' Although he loves his people, he is a good boy when left at home. Maxwell has gone on lots of adventures with us, including to Dolores Park (where he was off leash with great recall) and other dog parks. He is great at riding in the car. Maxwell does do a bit of resource guarding of his toys and his person so we would recommend an experienced dog owner who knows how to handle this behavior for him."
