Maxwell

What a handsome boy, don’t you think?Maxwell is a very gorgeous Lab/Shepherd mixed breed dog. He was born 2/4/05 and he weighs in at about 65#. He was surrendered by his owner, along with Lucas, because they were moving and couldn’t take him with for some reason. Mom was a Chocolate Lab and Dad was a German Shepherd—they are black with a little spot of white on their chests. They are very hard to tell apart!

Maxwell was kept outside with his brother Lucas, so they are not housetrained, but they are okay being crated. They are very playful dogs that get along with other dogs, cats, and children. Since they haven’t been really house pets, we don’t have a whole lot of personal things to say about them, unfortunately. They are just very nice boys who deserve a good home. They are very confused about being left by the only people they have known. It is very sad.

They do walk very nicely on a Gentle Leader, which will be supplied at the time of adoption. They would be great jogging partners! They are also learning other Obedience commands. They sit for their food.

This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
