This photogenic boy is Maximus! Maximus was originally adopted from Animal Friends earlier this year, but was unfortunately was recently returned due to his adopter needing to have surgery and no longer being able to care for him. Maximus' previous adopter had a lot of wonderful things to say about him including that he is: - House trained & crate trained - Friendly with strangers & loves attention ( though may bark when first meeting them) - Been around kids- toddler and older- and done well - Been around other dogs and does well - Good with kitties The only negative thing the adopter could think to share was that Maximus can be prone to tearing up trash if left home alone, but with a face like that we think we can find it in our hearts to forgive him and know with the proper training and management Maximus will be an 100% good boy! Maximus is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment.
