Max

Max is about 4 years old in these pictures taken September 27, 2008. He is a gentle, loving, and well behaved dog. Max does well on a leash, isn't a barker, and doesn't jump up on you. He has lived with cats and other dogs. Max has spent time with a child as young as 9 months old.

Max has had a very bumpy life but it hasn't changed his love for people or life. He was first rescued in Texas when he was just a pup by someone who found him malnourished and dirty. Max was then given to the person's grandmother. The grandmother kept him until the beginning of this year, but due to health issues, she had to start using a walker. While Max isn't a jumper or a hyper boy, the combination of the walker and a large dog in a very small house didn't work out. Plus his owner couldn't walk him. So Max went to her son who has kept him for about 3 months. Now the son needs neck surgery and can't keep Max. Poor Max is now with another relative who is only willing to keep him for a bit longer.

There just has to be someone out there who can give this WONDERFUL dog a forever home.
