Max is a 19 month old purebred AKC registered Bernese Mt Dog who we just rescued from a small time puppy mill here in OH (aka backyard breeder.) Born 1/31/07. ** Max is sweet but can be timid/shy of strangers, so will require some catch up socialization. He has made so much progres already in the past 4 weeks in our home! Has become quite loving with his foster family, is overcoming his fears. He had been completely neglected in his previous home, just left out in the backyard 24/7, used to breed puppies for money. Very sad story.......but Max is on his way to a new and improved life now!!! ** Gets along fine w/ other dogs. Ignores cats. ~~ Poor sweet Max is a bit too timid to go to a home w/ the noise and chaos of young children. ~~~ NOTE: We always require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, and certainly never one of those shock collar based "invisible fencing systems."
