Max

This handsome boy loves people. Playing in the water is one of his favorite pastimes, well, unless it's a bath and then the water doesn't seem so fun anymore, haha. Max is house and crate trained, as well as knows sit, shake and down. He is great with kids and is dog friendly with proper introductions. He is playful, but also chill and prefers his furry friends to be the same. Please note his previous owners did say he resource guards food and toys, so feeding separately and keeping toys off the ground, except for when supervised or separated is recommended. His current foster has not seen any human based resource guarding. Max loves walks and getting brushed. He is a great companion. Max just completed heartworm treatment and will need to take it easy for the next few weeks. He is approximately 4 years old and 60 pounds. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $195 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip and neuter. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
