Maverick

FOSTER TO ADOPT OPTION: Maverick is a very special puppy, who has been through so much in his young life. He came to Jelly's near death, after being abandoned with such a severe case of demodex that he was bald, very anemic, and extremely weak. Jelly's Founder, Julie, took him to her home and nursed him back to health. He has had routine vet care, medications and nutrition and is quickly become a strong and healthy boy, now ready for a more permanent home! Maverick looks like a boxer mix, but it's always a guess with our rescues. He is gentle, sweet, playful and loves affection and treats. We know he will make an amazing companion for his new family. Maverick will need continued medications and baths for a while until his fur completely comes in. Ideally, his foster/adopter will be near the El Cerrito area for continuity of vet care.
