My Story
Meet Maverick
Peguins, pandas, tuxedo kitties, skunks, badgers, orcas, dairy cows. Wow! When you think of all of the animals that come in black and white, its a lot and I am in good company. There is something so distinguished about being born in a dapper tuxedo that you can never take off. Fancy.
My life didn’t start off fancy though. I am part of the “Tow Truck Litter” because our first owner had a tow truck. He did his best for us, but taking care of puppies was more than he could handle, so he surrendered us over to be rescued and find new homes.
I started off as the smallest of the bunch, but I a catching up fast, due to these 4 athletic socks that I was born wearing. My large paws, make Foster Mommy *insert googley love eyes* think I will grow to be a large dog, just as my brothers, despite starting off smaller.
My markings are stunning and the partly pink nose is remininscent of a cute little dapple pot belly piggy. Just adding a notch of adorablility that you just don’t find every day in a your standard Labardor Retriever mix. Plus, I have this tiny spot of white at the end of my tail, as if I dipped it in a can of white paint, which is very appropriate for a puppy belonging to a an Artist rescue.
I am super sweet and snuggly. My favorite spot is in Foster Mommy’s lap or close by her. Foster Mommy says I tend to eat too fast and have to back up to take a minute between gobbles, but what does she expect, I was born wearing one of those white lobster bibs, so eating is in my dna.
I also love to play with the other dogs and I am very friendly. I have been around children too and I have seen cats through the window. I am young enough to learn anything you want to teach me about being a good boy.
