NOTE: Photos are breed examples only, not actual pictures of Matisse. Photos and more info coming soon!
Mon dieu! If you'd seen this famous French painter before he got his much-needed haircut, you know where he got his name: This poor guy put the "Mat" back in "Matisse!" We could barely see who was under that giant clump of smelly fur, but we knew it was someone special! And come to think of it, his tail now DOES look a lot like a paintbrush ...
We're not quite sure what Matisse is made of, so the Tibetan breeds are just our best guess. This cheery little fellow is about 18 months old, and is going to be just gorgeous when his coat comes in! He's a smart little guy who quickly learned that running into his crate would earn him some tasty treats ... so now he shows off his crate-diving skills at every opportunity!
Matisse is one of those dogs who just ADORES his people -- he'd be great company for an older person or couple with plenty of time to devote to him. His favorite pastime is just hangin' out with his favorite folks -- could that be you?
Please stop by an upcoming Meet & Greet to say "Bonjour!" to Monsieur Matisse ... and find out if he's the right pet for you! (Local adoptions preferred -- Philadelphia and tri-state area only.)
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events: You can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster.
(Note: Please e-mail us to request an adoption application.) To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our
website, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees.
FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives -- that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you -- there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
