We are proud to say that Marty is doing well at the shelter, and has been comfortably meeting new people, and overall has adjusted to the stress of shelter life much better than we feared. Marty is going to be a special part of someone's life, he is such an intelligent and amazing dog! Shelter notes on Marty, based on impressions of him before he arrived at the shelter:

"Here is our dilemma. Marty is under-socialized. He appears to have insecurities and fears related to new situations and people. My read is that anything new is bad and very uncomfortable for him, at this point. He is high energy and needs to expend it. And, when he does not, the socialization issues are worse, because he needs the exercise to be balanced.

He needs a home that can work with him and address his insecurities and social issues. He needs to be introduced to all kinds of situations on a regular bases. He does love to play Frisbee and is very loving - also he is house-trained and knows how to "sit" on command. He is healthy and a good dog."

Marty's adoption donation is $95 which includes his neuter, microchipping, deworming, and shots. Please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located below to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of furkids - our own and the PALS kids - and we are all volunteers with families, homes and full time jobs. We'll return email and phone inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!

ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption donations for PALS animals go directly either to medical care for those or other furkids in need, or towards maintenance, supplies, and improvement of the newly-built shelter!
