Marshmallow

WE HAVE AN ADOPTION PENDING Marshmallow is doing really well. He is now crate trained, house trained, knows " come", "sit", play fetch and we're trying to teach him "paw". He's a squirmy Little guy. He just loves being petted; I don't think the shy applies to him anymore. He will do well with another dog who is laid back and will tolerate a very active puppy. Our dog, Marlow, growls at him a bit when he is too "in your face". He follows Marlow everywhere except when its treat time. He does like to jump up when wanting attention so small kids might get scratched if jumped upon. He still is very "puppyish" he loves to play with doggie toys but loves being petted more. He like going to the park. We're still working on the leash manners. He's okay with other dogs around him. He's good with cats once his curiosity is satisfied. Our cat did take a swipe at him because he was too nosy and Marshmallow didnt bother him again. i think he will do well in most households except for: -ones with smaller children -with dogs who can not tolerate puppy behaviour - anyone expecting a laid back dog Marshmallow is about a year old, he's now been neutered, is all up to date on his shots, but he's not up to date on his grooming ... YET That is coming this weekend! The vet shaved his face and feet for us. When we picked him up from the shelter you did not know which end was which and looked like a big rag mop - very frustrating when dogs are not well looked after. In any case, he's a sweet, happy little guy - a tad shy at first which does not last long at all. He rides well in the car, is crate trained, gets along well with other dogs and cats too.
