**Meet Mark: Sweetest little guy there ever was**
**Name:** Mark
**Age:** approximately 5 years
**Breed:** Mixed Breed
**Weight:** 42 lbs
**Color:** Brown with a white belly and black muzzle and highlights
**About Mark:**
Mark's journey has been nothing short of inspiring. When Mark was first rescued, he was a frightened and timid pup, unsure of the world around him. It took patience, love, and time, but he has blossomed into a brave and affectionate dog who now fully embraces the joys of being a house dog. He's recently learned to "catch" things and thinks that's really fun! He knows how to sit for attention and is starting to learn to "come when called."
**Personality:**
Mark is a gentle soul with a heart full of love. Once shy and wary, he has now discovered the comfort and security of a loving home. Mark is restful during the day and enjoys curling up in his cozy bed. He has a calm demeanor and is very well-behaved indoors.
**Favorite Activities:**
- **Cuddling:** Mark loves being close to his humans. He sleeps quietly through the night in his bed, and has learned to give a snuggle in bed in the morning before starting the day. He thrives on affection and companionship and he's so eager to please.
- **Playing:** Mark has discovered the fun of toys! He's still not sure about the squeaky ones, but enjoys carrying quiet ones around proudly.
- **Walks:** Mark loves his daily walks. He enjoys exploring the neighborhood and is well-mannered on a leash (except for the occasional bunny sighting.)
- **Learning:** Mark is a wicked smart dog and enjoys learning new tricks. He is treat-motivated and picks up commands quickly.
**Ideal Home:**
Mark would do best in a calm and loving home where he can continue to build his confidence. He is good with other dogs and could benefit from having a canine companion to show him the ropes, but could be an only guy too. Mark would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention, love, and opportunities to learn and explore.
**Adoption ideals:**
- A patient and loving family willing to continue Mark's journey of trust and confidence.
- A secure yard for playtime.
- Regular exercise and mental stimulation.
- Lots of love and cuddles!
Mark has come a long way from his days as a scared pup. He has proven that with love and patience, even the most timid dogs can be the best companions. If you think you can give Mark the forever home he deserves, please contact us today. Mark is ready to fill your life with love and kisses!
