My Story

Mario is a sweet, handsome senior who spent about eight months in a foster home. Heres what we learned: - He did well with kids of various ages - He did well with other dogs - He is housebroken - He is well- behaved when left home alone - He is gentle and polite on leash - He is friendly, happy and food- motivated - He will likely do best in a feline- free home Mario is a very good dog with an incredibly sweet disposition. We think hes got a good deal of flat-coated retriever in him, and Id guess a bit of shepherd as well. He has some arthritis in his back legs and takes a couple of doggy-profin and Cosequin each day. These help him tons and keep him very nicely mobile. The only physical challenges that weve seen Mario have so far are multiple stairs (a couple are no problem) and getting into the car (because of his back legs). Mario loves taking long walks with our dog and is extremely well behaved on the leash. He has learned his name along with a few other commands while weve been fostering him. He has been an absolute sweetheart with us, our teenager, and our dog. Hes also done wonderfully with our backyard chickens - he is very calm, gentle, and slow around the coop. He was also a superstar at our New Years Eve party. He loved greeting all our guests and soaking up as many head scratches as folks could dole out! Mario shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social, tolerant, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Please ask about this sweet senior citizen today!
