Beautiful Marianne has excellent taste in music, if you ask us. Her theme song is “The Best Day” by Taylor Swift. She wants to experience all the days with her very own family! Described as a sensitive, conscientious girl with a gentle heart and sweet disposition, Marianne loves with her whole being, solidifying new friendships by happily receiving a belly rub. Marianne is all puppy! Chewing on things, chasing other pups and playing with her people fill her day with happiness. She’s living in a busy foster home with puppy-savvy kids and other dogs. Experiencing new smells, sights and sounds. Delighting her foster family with silly antics. The ideal family for Marianne is patient and will honor her thoughtful nature to grow the world at her pace. She is not one to dive in, preferring to take a minute in a new situation, approaching new people and things on her own. We want her to have a friendly canine sibling to learn from. She can live with calm, kind kids old enough to appreciate her personality. We suspect she would be a little unsure at first but ultimately befriend a kitty. Marianne needs potty breaks every 3 hours during the day at her young age. A home with a consistent schedule and quieter environment are best (not suited for living in an apartment). She is learning all the puppy things: crate & potty training are coming along and each day she does better walking on leash. To build confidence and stay safe, a fenced yard is preferred. Adult-only homes that keep pups safe on leash will also be considered. Obedience classes are a must, providing the opportunity to bond with her new people and learn to trust herself. Marianne is a Border Collie / Australian Shepherd mix, approximately 10 weeks old, 10#. She promises to be an amazing addition to the right family! Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Marianne's adoption fee is $550 + MN sales tax. She is microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. She will be spayed by the rescue at the age of 6 months at one of the vet clinics we work with. The cost of this procedure is included in her adoption fee.
