My Story
**Note: Marang is currently in Korea, but we are looking for his forever home in Seattle. His flight from Korea to Seattle is scheduled for Aug 20.
-------------------------
Background: Marang was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Yangsan, Korea, early this year. He lived at another shelter for a while but joined our partner boarding house this spring, where he now lives with other dogs. Marang is a Jindo and Corgi mix.
Personality and Socialization: Marang is a very quiet and gentle boy with medium to low energy. Initially, he can be a bit shy around strangers or in new environments, but he warms up once he gets familiar with new people and surroundings. When he feels comfortable, Marang becomes very friendly and snuggly. He loves to stay close to his humans and smooth things over with his affectionate nature. Marang gets along well with other gentle and friendly dogs but can be timid around dominant or overly energetic ones.
Behaviors: Marang is one easy-going boy, according to the boarding house manager. He never gets destructive, barks, or gets into fights with other dogs. He's always very chill, calm, and patient. Marang is OK during car rides, baths, and grooming sessions. He loves going for walks and has good leash manners. He may be a bit nervous at first in a new environment, but with a little time and patience, he'll settle in beautifully.
Health and Diet: Marang is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He also takes monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites. He’s a healthy boy, ready and eager to find his forever home.
Marang enjoys Acana dry kibble, made in Canada, and is fed twice daily. Currently, there are no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Marang’s ideal adopter is someone with a relaxing lifestyle in a quiet neighborhood. With his easy-going nature, Marang is perfect for a first-time dog parent or as a calm and gentle companion for another dog. He will also be a great match for a senior dog. Marang doesn’t ask for much; he is patient and loyal. This little boy will make a wonderful fur baby, and whoever adopts him will be very lucky.
