Maple

Meet Maple, our beautiful brown Newfie with gorgeous amber eyes! Maple continues to settle in nicely to her foster home in Indiana. She has loved every human she has met so far and greets them calmly and happily with enthusiastic tail wags. She also really enjoys the company of the resident dogs and often invites them to play. She is polite and respects their space, but will sometimes bark a bit to try to provide some encouragement for them to engage with her if she doesn't get an immediate response. Cats she's met them through the gate, and shows some curiosity, but does not get overly excited or appear to have a desire to chase them. She's even had a chance to hang out in the guinea pig room and meet them through their cages and was very good! Manners - Maple knows sit, down and paw and even walks very nicely on her leash she is a smart girl! Kids Has not met any since arriving in foster, but given her very mellow personality, her Foster Family thinks she will love them as well. Health Maple did great at the vet, but does demonstrate some weakness in her hind end that is being evaluated. Minimal stairs or single floor living with lots of carpets will likely be ideal for our pretty girl! Maple loves to talk and will vocalize her wishes through noising and sometimes whining when she wants something she's a chatty lady with a lot to say! Stay tuned as we learn more about Maple!
