Maple

Hi, I’m Maple! I am a petite 30-pound, one-year old Australian cattle dog/red heeler. I am a very high energy dog and am looking for a home with athletic, experienced, and outdoorsy people. I could also be happy living on acreage provided I was kept in a fenced area or on a leash while I work on my off-leash skills. I love cats, dogs, and people, but would be best in a home with no children or children 12 years old and older. I LOVE my foster mom! She is teaching me so much and I am relaxing and feeling more comfortable at her home every day. My high energy and intelligence make me a little anxious and cause me to have an independent streak. But I am getting more comfortable being in a crate, getting in the car, having my nails trimmed, and learning how to simply relax. Also, the two border collies that live with my foster mom are teaching me how to be a chill and confident dog. So by all accounts, I am coming along nicely. Still, I would do well with obedience training, agility, rally, scent work, herding livestock, or anything where I am given a job and some guidance. I am currently being fostered in Eugene, Oregon. I am spayed and ready to find my forever home.
