**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. Meet MANUEL, a 9-week-old scruffy little Terrier/Shep mix up-for-adoption through Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York. He is an adorable, confident, funny little guy that just got his freedom flight up to Albany from the streets of Puerto Rico, thanks to some awesome flight angels and a wonderful rescue organization in PR. Our guess is that Manuel is going to be a medium to medium/large sized adult dog that gets a scruffier coat with age. Since he’s a baby-baby, new owners should not crate him for longer than 3-4 hours at a clip during the day. He is great with other dogs and friendly with all people. Like any puppy, he will need lots of exercise, socialization, and obedience classes. He is crate-trained and doing well with housebreaking for his age. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
