Manny and his buddy were abandoned out in the country in the wintertime, left to fend for themselves. Several people tried to catch them for a few months but they were too scared to trust anyone. However they've been caught together and are being fostered together. It is not a deal-breaker to adopt just Manny by himself, we just wanted to make it known that he does have a buddy he's attached to in case someone were of a mindset to adopt them both. He just needs a good home. Despite his sad story, he's not bitter he's as sweet as he can be. He relishes getting affection. When he gets excited he starts squeaking his toys and throwing them around, and wagging his cute little nub tail. His favorite thing to do is to go for walks. He is fine with other dogs, he's submissive to them. There are 6 cats in his foster home and he does not bother them. He may be fine with kids, we just don't have any small kids at our house to know, our son is 13 years old. Manny is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
