Update 5/19/09- Mamma Mia is really getting around town! A staff member took her to the Swarthmore Community Center Dog Show this past weekend and she won FIRST PLACE in the "Shorthaired" dog category! Come says "CONGRATS" to Mamma by applying to foster or adopt her- she so deserves your loving home! Update 5/06/09- Mamma is a recent graduate from obedience class! She was THE BEST STUDENT, always bringing her very calm and mellow energy to the otherwise rowdy group. She was so focused and easy to train and is turning out to be a dream canine! She knows her name, sit, down, stay, heel, leave it, come and stand. Smart cookie our Mamma. Make her yours today and save the life of a most worthy girl... "Hi! I'm Mamma Mia, a Mastiff mix. I have cherry eye, but hopefully you will still think I'm beautiful! I'm in love with everyone I meet, a real social butterfly. I came to the SPCA when I was rescued from being kept in the yard all the time :( I really love being around people so that was a really hard time in my life, but thankfully I know have a great opportunity to find a loving home where I can be indoors! I have a lot of life to live and a lot of love to give! I would like a home without other animals, although when out on walks I like meeting other friendly large dogs. I am a regular at the SPCA outreach events since I'm a perfect angel easy enough for anyone to handle. I, of course, love to eat and play and need a home with a big dog bed and lots of toys! I love getting my belly rubbed and would love a home with kids over 12 years old to play with. I'd love to meet you so come in today to see me!
