Mama's

Thanks to an amazing team of volunteers, we were able to pull Mama's from the shelter with only 15 minutes left before her final notice expired. A MASSIVE thank you to her temp foster for helping secure transportation when the other person didn't come through + for stepping up to temp foster Mama's is a beautiful 5 year young GSD who's clearly had a ruff start to life. You can see it in her body, her eyes, her skin + fur, and her poorly neglected teeth We don't know where she was before this or how she ended up in the shelter but she looks like another beautiful dog who was overbred + then dumped by the only family she knew when they couldn't use her anymore. Without the tireless efforts of the networkers helping find + secure a long-term foster, we wouldn't have been able to save Mama's. She was available for adoption but continuously overlooked because of how she looked, her age, and because she was stressed + barking in her cage. As soon as we got Mama's out of the shelter she became a different dog - calm, trusting, + luving Mama's is already starting to come out of her shell with her temp foster. She's enjoying going for walks, has a healthy appetite, and has already gotten some pep in her step back! We're so excited to see her decompress + blossom even more in her long term foster Thank you to everyone who stepped up to make this possible, it truly takes a village.
