Malcolm
Breed
Cane Corso
Color
Red / Chestnut / Orange, Yellow / Tan / Blond / Fawn
Cane Corsos are often described as a noble and majestic breed and sweet Malcolm most certainly does not disappoint! With his stunningly handsome good looks and mesmerizing smile he can be quite the charmer. He's a young boy at just 1.5 years old but unfortunately did not have the best start in life, having been seized through our Humane Law Enforcement team. Due to his past, he can be weary of meeting new people and is not fond of other dogs in his space. That said, with proper introductions he absolutely adores his human friends with all of his big heart. In fact, volunteers and staff who regularly spend time with him all describe him as one of their very favorite boys!
Malcolm's playful side can be seen when chasing toys in a field but he also loves to just sit at (or more often on) your feet and either take in the sights and sounds of the world around him or to gently lean in for a long petting session - this affectionate boy loves to be pet and cuddled!
Malcolm is not only a stunner but also an intelligent boy, true to the breed - he knows several commands and is a good leash walker. He loves water and will try to play in puddles he encounters on walks and will dunk his entire big head in his water bucket on hot days.
His ideal home will be one with savvy and experienced adopters who are willing to continue his training and to gradually show him more of the world around him. A low traffic, adult only home with no other pets would be best at this time, preferably in either a quiet neighborhood or with a fenced yard where he can play but also just relax and chill.
Please stop by 12-5pm daily for walk-in visits (no appointment necessary). You can complete an application online at www.mlar.org/adopt-application
