My Story

Major is a 1-year-old Blue Merle Great Dane. His owner decided that he does not want him anymore, so Major was turned into a kill shelter. Unfortunately, Major's previous owner did have him on Heartworm preventatives, so Major was tested positive for Heartworms.

Since HW treatment is pretty expensive and the shelter can not provide the treatment, Major was put on the euthanasia list, but lucky for Major, he was pulled out by rescue.

Major is in rescue now. He is scheduled to be neutered and later treated for Heartworms. Our rescue pays for it all.

Major needs a home to go to, where he will be treated as a part of the family. Major's adoption fee is a donation of $200. That is a very reasonable fee, considering that HW treatment usually costs $600-$800 ($300 for rescue), not to forget the expense of neutering, vaccinations, microchip and additional rescue expenses.

As for Major's personality, he is very sweet and loving, very puppy like, he loves to run and play with toys. He is also good with kids. We're not sure how he will do with cats.
