Maggie

Maggie is fostered in Kentucky, USA. (Note: The adoption fee is in Canadian dollars.) Maggie was found wandering alone near the dog pound and a kind man who works nearby decided to take care of her and find her a rescue. He lived in a park campsite and cared for Maggie lovingly for many weeks while he sought a rescue for her. Eventually we heard about Maggie and invited her to join Gentle Jake's. Maggie is an amazing dog! She learns new commands quickly and loves to please. She is not destructive in the house and doesn't counter surf. She never instigates trouble or gets pushy. She likes to hang out and loves her naps! Maggie will sing when she has reasons to sing, but is quiet otherwise. Maggie would be happiest in a family with another playful dog. She loves to roll around and play "chase me". If you have a dog who needs more exercise and loves to play with other dogs, adopt Maggie and watch the fun begin! --Spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. --Estimated age: 18 months old, estimated in June. --Current weight: 22 kg (48 lbs). --House-trained when let out regularly, and crate-trained. --Leash training is coming along. --6' fenced yard preferred: Maggie can climb and jump out of shorter fences, but only runs to the house entry door to summon her people. --Comes with a Tractiv GPS collar, to track her on your phone if she escapes. --Respectful with other dogs of all sizes, even feeble senior tiny dogs. --No cats! She is quite afraid of them and lunges at cats, to protect herself. --We don't know how Maggie feels about kids. She is gentle and respectful by nature, and doesn't jump on people, so we think she might be safe with older children.
