What a cutie! Macaroni (Mac) is a 20# mixed breed dog, about 1 ½ years old. Our guess is that he is a mix between Shih Tzu, Pug and Beagle. Originally, he was an owner surrender because they didn’t have time for him anymore. He has been adopted out twice and both times he has bitten while guarding a favorite toy. He bit the mother-in-law and father-in-law, not a direct member of his pack. We have tried to get him to bite us without success. Mac just needs a strong pack leader and responsible pet owner to make sure he is safe and happy. He really is a great little dog! Too bad his two adopters never even called for help, they just gave up on him!
Mac is a very good little dog. He gets along with everyone, truly believing that company comes to see just him. He is very playful with other dogs. He does fine around cats. He loves to play fetch, with the tennis ball being his favorite. Mac will need a fenced in yard to ensure his safety and quality of life. He isn’t a dog that always comes when called!
Mac loves to cuddle, either on the bed, your lap, or on the back of the couch looking out the window. He just makes himself quite comfortable with every situation.
He is house trained and crate trained.

This dog's adoption fee is $200 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, surgery done on Cherry eye, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
