Hello there! My name is Mable, and I'm a 4.5-year-old girl with a heart full of love and a zest for life. My journey hasn't been the easiest, but it's made me appreciate every moment and every person I meet. I found myself at animal control in Columbus County, Georgia, with ulcerated and ruptured mammary glands. Thanks to some wonderful people, I received the medical care I needed and was nursed back to health. From there, I headed up to NCPAS, where I've been flourishing ever since. I'm what you might call a "sturdy" girl - I've got a big heart to match my size! While I love people and enjoy being around them, I might not be aware of just how strong I am, so a home without small children would be best for me. I'm an active girl who loves going for runs and spending time outdoors. I get so excited sometimes that I can't help but jump for joy! I'm learning to reacquaint myself with basic commands like "off" and "sit," and I'm doing really well on leash. I'm quiet as a mouse indoors and prefer cozying up in a chair for some peaceful relaxation. I've lived with other dogs before, but you have to give me time to warm up to them fully. I'm not the best match for homes with small dogs, and I'd prefer a home without cats, as they tend to pique my curiosity a bit too much.
